We specialize in background screenings. ESR is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) and Human Resources consulting firm providing pre-employment screening reports to Employers, Human Resources and Security departments. Our exceptionally qualified staff is dedicated to promoting a safe and profitable workplace through employment pre-screening and credentials verification. ESR combines human resources, public records and legal expertise in providing your company with fast, accurate and cost-effective employment pre-screening. We understand that companies need a program that fits seamlessly into their hiring practices. Our focus is in working with Human Resources and Security Departments. Unlike other firms, ESR is not just a data gathering service providing computer printouts or raw data. Our reports make the information easy to understand. We look for "red flags" that may concern an employer. We provide human resources policy notes where applicable based upon industry standards. Because the applicants we screen may become your trusted employees, the process is designed to respect applicant privacy. Furthermore, ESR has a full time legal staff to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Although ESR does not give legal services to its clients, ESR does ensure that its processes are in compliance with legal requirements, especially the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and 50 state laws. CAUTION: Before retaining a screening firm, ask in detail if they have on staff anyone who is familiar with the screening laws in all 50 states. It is not enough that a screening firm has a law firm with which it consults. Labor lawyers are not specialists in compliance with federal screening laws and those laws which are unique to all 50 states. ESR was started by an experienced law enforcement officer with extensive experience in corporate security and a criminal law attorney. ESR is a division of a California corporation headquartered in the San Francisco area. From this location, ESR can assist employers of all sizes across the United States from Fortune 500 firms to high-tech start-ups. Privacy Policy: ESR is a Consumer Reporting Agency(CRA) that prepared Consumer Reports for authorized employers under he provisions of the the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), The ESR Privacy policy is very simple: ESR only collects applicant data pursuant to written authorization and Disclosure under the FCRA and only disseminates consumer reports to employers as directed in the written authorization In other words, data is only collected and distributed at the direction and authorization of consumers . Otherwise, the data is maintained in a secured site. All data is the property of the consumer. ESR maintains strict policies and procedures in all aspects of its operation to protect the privacy of consumer. *NOTE: ESR does not offer services to employers in Nevada. For Nevada firms, ESR will be pleased to make referral to a firm that is licensed by the State. |
